The number of cybercrimes are increasing as the use of cell phones, internet and online platforms is increasing, cyber frauds and harassment targeting women and children are increasing. In this context, the police department and women’s safety wing has organized a cyber congress program to educate children about cybercrimes. Students are told that not only online education but also medical, sales, purchases, jobs and transactions all are done on online, the use of cell phones and internet is inevitable, and at the same time, cybercrimes are also happening. He said that a program called Cyber ​​Congress has been launched to educate the students on the use of internet as well as mobile phones so that the students who are taking classes online do not fall victim to cyber frauds.

In this regard, the Collector said that as a part of creating awareness about cybercrime among girls at student level, more than 100 active students and 50 teachers from government schools in the district were selected and trained twice a week online for ten months under the Women Safety She Team and Youngistan Voluntary Service Organization. He said that the trained students along with their fellow students will educate the general public about cybercrimes.

District SP said that the police department hopes to create awareness about online safety in the education system and will create awareness about it among parents, girls, women and youth. Ambassadors reminded fellow students, parents and society about the things learned in Cyber ​​Congress. Teachers also have to play their role in controlling cybercrime. In the phase of increasing online frauds, not only for the students but also awareness is a must for everyone, said by the SP. People should be careful not to reply to short messages from unknown people, not to click on any link, similarly, people should not respond to phone calls with bank officials by name, and also not to share OTPs with unknown people. People have been told not to share and not to respond to messages like winning a prize.

District SHE team officials informed the students to dial 100 and the national cyber helpline number 1930 and district SHE team number 7901132141 immediately or within 24 hours in case of cybercrime, about precautions to be taken regarding laws regarding protection of women and girls in staff schools.
