Telangana language day in honor of Public poet Kaloji
RSD- Sircilla news: Municipal Sangha President Mrs. Jindam Kala Chakrapani was the chief guest at the birth anniversary celebrations of late public poet Kaloji Narayana Rao which was organized at Municipal Corporation office and Rajannasirilla District Telangana Bhawan on 09.09.2024. On this occasion Mrs. Jindam Kala Chakrapani, president of the municipal association said that late Prajakavi Kaloji Narayana Rao was an independence fighter, Telangana advocate and great poet who created consciousness in many people through his poems. During the Nizam period, he fought against the Rajakars and was jailed. He served as an MLC in the united state of Andhra Pradesh and as the president of the Telangana Writers’ Association. As a person who wanted a separate Telangana state, he lived as a true Telanganaist in all situations during his life. In recognition of Kaloji’s services, the Government of India honored him with the Padma Vibhushan award and after the formation of Telangana state, the first Chief Minister of Telangana, KCR, named the Telangana Government Medical University as Kaloji Narayana Rao in honor of the public poet, Kaloji Narayana Rao, and declared his birthday as Telangana Language Day. In continuation of that, Telangana State Chief Minister Enumula Revanth Reddy also said that organizing Kaloji’s birth anniversary celebrations by the government is a good development. Municipal Commissioner Mirza Fasahat Ali Baig, Vice-Chairman Manche Srinivas, Councillors, Members, and Municipal Corporation Staff as well as BRS Party State Secretary Guduri Praveen, District President Thota Agaiah, Sircilla Branch President Jindam Chakrapani, Vice Presidents were present in this program. MD Sattar, Secretary Myana Ravi, senior BRS party leaders Nyalakonda Raghavareddy, Mark Fade Director Banda Narasaiah, former Konnaraopet MP Chandraya Goud and others were present.
