TG SC Classification GO categorizes sub-castes into 3 groups
RSD- Telangana news: A key milestone was reached in Telangana on 14.04.2025 on SC classification. The Telangana government has released the SC classification GO. A total of 59 sub-castes have been classified into 3 groups of SCs. The SC classification GO states that the most backward castes have been included in Group-1, the moderately advantaged castes in Group-2, and the better-off castes in Group-3, based on representation in education, jobs, social, economic, and political affairs. One percent reservation will be implemented for those in Group A, 9 percent for those in Group B, and 5 percent for those in Group C. The Telangana government has released the SC classification GO in Telugu, English, and Urdu languages.
