RSD-Yellareddypet news: According to the details, a minor girl from Yellareddypet mandal was forcibly molested by her brother-in-law, Thorpati Praveen S/o Johnny, in 2021. In that case, Praveen’s father, Johnny, and grandmother, Pochavva, threatened the victims that they would kill them if they told anyone. The victim’s mother filed a complaint at the police station regarding this matter, and the then SI Venkatakrishna registered a case. After investigation, the then Siricilla DSP Chandrasekhar filed a charge sheet in the court. PPs Vemula Lakshmi Prasad and Penta Srinivas argued on behalf of the prosecution, while CMS SI Ravindra Naidu led the court monitoring constables Srinivas and Naveen presented 10 witnesses in the court. After examining the case, Siricilla POCSO Court Judge Radhika Jaiswal said that the two accused, Thurpati Johnny and Thurpati Pochavva, were sentenced to four years in prison and a fine of Rs. 2000/- each. Since Thurpati Praveen is a minor, the case against him is currently being processed in the juvenile court. Speaking on this occasion, the SP said that no one who commits a crime in the society can escape punishment, and that only punishments can bring about change in the society, and that the police and prosecution will conduct a strategic legal investigation and ensure that the accused are punished. The District SP specially congratulated the PPs Vemula Lakshmi Prasad, Penta Srinivas, CMS SI Ravindra Naidu, Court Constables Naveen and Srinivas, and the then police officers SI Venkata Krishna and DSP Chandrasekhar Reddy, who worked hard to punish the accused in the above cases.
