3 accused arrested for kidnapping a girl
RSD- Vemulawada news: Speaking at a media conference, the SP said that Singarapu Madhu and Lasya, a couple from Chintalapalli village of Kodimyala mandal of Jagtial district, have two daughters. Lasya has been away from her husband for the past few days due to mental illness. Lasya had come to Vemulawada to have her daughter Singarapu Advita (4) Rajanna darshan and was stayingt here. Three women from Mahabubabad came to Vemulawada Rajeshwara Swamy temple and formed a bond with Lasya and they all slept together in the temple premises of Vemulawada for about 5 days. In this process, three suspicious women, realizing that the child’s mother was not taking care of the child properly due to her mental illness, took the child close to her, got to know her and convinced her. Realizing that the child’s mother was not taking care of her properly, the three women took the child with them on 23/12/2024, thinking that it was a coincidence. On this incident, the child’s maternal uncle, Palamaru Gangaswamy, R/o. Balarajupally filed a complaint at Vemulawada Town Police Station on 30/12/2024, a week after the incident. The police registered a case and started an investigation. The girl’s mother did not tell anything because she was mentally unstable. However, despite the lack of evidence, the district police took it as a challenge and formed a special team under the leadership of District SP Akhil Mahajan, including Vemulawada Town CI Veera Prasad, Task Force CI Sadan Kumar, SIs Sudhakar, Ramesh, Junaid, Staff Tirupati, Rajesh, Akshar, Srinivas, Mahipal, Imran, Gopal, and Babai. Under the supervision of SP, Rajannasircilla District Rajarajeshwara Devasthanam, bus stand, railway stations, Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, and Kodad. The SP said that after checking and using modern technology, it was found that the accused were in a village in Mahabubabad district. With the help of the village deputy sarpanch, the accused Sriramoji Venkata Narasamma, Gambhirapu Anjavva and Kunapuri Uppamma were rescued and handed over to the chairman of CWC (Child Protection House) Anjaiah. Later, they were handed over to the parents. The three accused women will be sent to remand on 10.01.2025. Even though the child was found seven days after the incident, despite the mother being mentally unstable and there being no evidence, Vemulawada ASP Seshadri Reddy, Vemulawada Town CI Veera Prasad, Task Force Inspector Sadan Kumar, SIs Sudhakar, Ramesh, Junaid and staff Tirupati, Rajesh, Akshar, Srinivas, Mahipal, Imran, Gopal, Babai, who took the challenge and solved the unique kidnapping case and returned the child to their parents using technology, were felicitated and presented with certificates of appreciation.
