Thefts targeting expensive bikes

RSD- Kodada news: District SP Sunpreet Singh IPS disclosed the details of the case in a media conference organized at the district police office regarding the cases of Kodada town and Munagala. Kodada DSP Sridhar Reddy, CCS Inspector Siva Kumar, Kodada Town CI Ramu, Munagala Circle CI Ramakrishna Reddy, Special Branch Inspector Veera Raghavulu, SIs Srikanth, Praveen, Ranjith Reddy and CCS staff participated in the program. Expensive bikes are being stolen one after another by unknown people in Kodada town. Cases of bike theft have been registered under Kodada town PS, crime number 353/2024, 451/2023, 360/2024, 359/2024. These cases are under investigation.
Kodada PS case details
On 03/11/2024 at around 4.00 pm in Kodada town near Huzur Nagar flyover, Kodada Town CI Ramu along with his staff were checking vehicles when they found five suspicious people coming in two vehicles and arrested them. They are A1- Bari Nagaraju @ Gunturu Nagaraju (28 years driving) of Suryapet district Huzurnagar, A2 – Gunji Ramanjaneyulu (23 years driving) of Tangeda village, Palnadu district, Andhra state Palnadu – Gunji Ramanjaneyulu (23 years driving), A3 Sheikh Kasinapalli Basha (24 years Agriculture), A4 – Gunji Krishna (Agriculture), A5- Tammishetti Venkatesh (21 yearss Agriculture) and A6 Gopalakrishna (Absconder). The 5 arrested accused were interrogated and confessed that they were committing theft targeting expensive bikes. Earlier in Kodada town, Royal Enfield, a Unicorn and a Pulsar bike were confessed to have been stolen. When they were interrogated, they confessed to having committed bike thefts in Suryapet Town, Kodada Town, Huzurnagar, Mathampally, Kachiguda, Chaitanyapuri, LBnagar, Dameracharla, Narasaraopeta, Rentachintala, Macharla, Rajupalem, Nakirekallu (Addanki) Police Stations and they were arrested. A-1 Nagaraju was running a bike mechanic shop in Mattampalli village under Mattampalli mandal of Suryapet district and used to steal bikes on the sly. A2, A3, A4 are the ones who get bike repair from him in Tangeda village of Andhra region, which is adjacent to Mattampally. Nagaraju sold the stolen Royal Enfeld bikes to A2, A3. A2, A3 and A4 came into contact between them and learned to steal the bike by cutting the bike wire. Since then 5 accused namely A1, A2, A3, A4 and A5 are doing bike theft together. Nagaraju was detained and arrested in Kodada town in the Royal Enfields bike theft case. Earlier there were 05 cases against Nagaraju in Hyderabad. 21 bikes, Royal Enfield 6 , Unicorn 7, Pulsar 5, HF Deluxe 2, Shine 1, worth 22 lakhs were seized from the accused. 5 suspects were arrested and taken to remand. CCS Inspector Siva Kumar, CCS SI Srikanth and CCS staff, Kodada town CI Ramu, Kodada town PS staff technical team staff, DSP Sridhar Reddy who supervised the case were felicitated by the district SP Sunpreet Singh IPS with rewards.
Munagala PS case details
In the month of July 2024, the crane driver Kuncham Raju lodged a complaint in the Munagala police station that a Pulsar bike was stolen in Mukundapuram village of Munagala mandal. According to this complaint, a case was registered under crime number 239/24. This case is under investigation. During the investigation, on 03.11.2024 at 03.00 PM Munagala SI Praveen along with his staff conducted a vehicle check at Mukundapuram village bus stage and at 04:00 PM three unidentified persons on a motorcycle were traveling from Kodada towards Suryapet. They were taken into custody and interrogated. Andhra State NTR District Kanchikacharla Mandal Wise Identification. A-1 Mecharla Srinu (22 yrs, catering profession), A-2 Alugula Tarun (20 yrs lorry cleaner), A-3 Konka Chinnu @ Kodi (19 yrs shopkeeper) allegedly stole a Pulsar bike in Mukundapuram village. Similarly, 3 bikes were stolen in Kodada town, 1 bike was stolen in Penumuluru PS area and 1 bike was stolen in 5th town of Vijayawada. 5 Pulsar bikes and one Honda Passion bike were taken from them and taken to remand. A1 Mecherla Srinu, who works in fast food center and caterer, has not have enough to earn money for luxuries, along with his friend A2 Tarun and another friend A3 Chinnu, who are friends of fast food cente stole bikes in Mukundapuram, Kodada area. The accused used to target and steal bikes parked on roads and in front of houses in order to earn money for their luxuries. Accused A2 has previously been registered with 2 cases of bike theft in Khammam District Madhira and NTR District Kanchikacharla Police Stations. Munagala SI Praveen Kumar, Munagala Police Station Staff, Kodada Town PS Technical Team Head Constable Srinivas, Constables Yalla Reddy and Satish, Munagala Circle Inspector Ramakrishna Reddy and Kodada DSP Sridhar Reddy who supervised the case were rewarded by the SP.
