ABVP demands justice for families of Gurukula students

RSD- Peddapur news: Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad organized a Dharna Rastaroko on the main road of Jagittala Kendra demanding justice to the family of Anirudh who died off snakebite 09.08.2024 and Guna Aditya who died a week ago at the Peddapur Camp Gurukula School in Mettupalli mandal. ABVP is demanding 50 lakh exgratia and allotment of government jobs.
State Hostels Convener Maraveni Ranjit Kumar and State Joint Secretary Mallyala Rakesh said that it was a shame that the state government did not respond to the death of Anirud who died off a snake bite in the Peddapur Gurukula camp on 09.08.2024 and that the authorities tried to cover up the snake bite. However, it is a shame that the district authorities and the state government did not respond to these incidents. Also, after the death of another student on 09.08.2024, the negligence of the government and officials in clearing the bushes and garbage is evident. Also, the future of the country is shaped in the classroom. From the day it is said that students are dying in the classroom. It is clear that the state government is responsible for the death of 11 students in 9 months of this government. The High Court has demanded an inquiry into these deaths with a sitting judge. He warned that the state government should take initiatives to improve the infrastructure of the Gurukuls of the hostels and take measures to improve the infrastructural facilities. Otherwise, he warned the ministers in the state to take steps to depose the Chief Minister. Also, the Gurukul, which is next to the Jagityala district collectorate office, does not have enough basic accommodation or toilets with garbage disposal. ABVP demanded that the state government should respond immediately and solve the problems if the collector did not respond.
