RSD- Sircilla news: The District SP said that awareness programs are being organized for students in all schools in the district under the name of “Pocso Pi Chaitanyam” with the intention of making students aware of good touch and bad touch so that when they encounter incidents of bad touch, they can freely tell their parents, teachers and police. District SP was the chief guest at the “POCSO Awareness” program organized in Venkampeta Government School in Sircilla town on 23.08.2024 and taught boys and girls about good touch, bad touch, about POCSO Act, punishment under POCSO Act, social media and cybercrimes. Awareness was created about the injustices. On this occasion, SP said that the district police department has given high priority to the safety of the girl students and said that the students should choose good goals in life and work hard in the right way to reach higher heights and not ruin their golden future by engaging in anti-social activities. He said that under the police department in the district, awareness programs under the name “POCSO Pi Chaitanyam” are being organized to educate the students about the POCSO Act, Good Touch and Bad Touch. He warned that those who commit crimes against minor girls and children are likely to face harsh punishments like life imprisonment under the POCSO Act, thereby spending their precious life in jails. He warned that those who commit crimes against children will not be spared under any circumstances. He advised them to respect women and stand by them.

Children should fearlessly inform their parents about the harassment, indecent behavior, good touch and bad touch they face at home, in school and on the streets, and parents should also be friendly with their children. Students have been advised to be very careful while using social media such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and take all kinds of personal safety precautions while posting photos and videos. He said that women students should come forward and solve their problems without fear of silence, they can provide more security only when they come forward fearlessly and tell their problems.
