Blood donation is equal to life donation, District SP Mahesh B. Gite

RSD- Sircilla news: Mega blood donation camp as a tribute to the sacrifices of the martyrs. On the occasion of Martyrs’ Week, a mega blood donation camp was organized at Kalyana Lakshmi Gardens in Sircilla town under the auspices of the District Police Department. District SP Mahesh B. Gite IPS attended the event as the chief guest, inaugurated the blood donation camp, donated blood himself, and presented certificates of appreciation to those who donated blood. Speaking on the occasion, the SP said that blood donation is equal to life and plays a key role in saving the lives of those in danger. He said that the voluntary participation of about 460 youth, people, auto drivers, police officers and staff in the blood donation camp on the occasion of Martyr’s Week is commendable. He said that the society will never forget the sacrifices of the police martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty and that Police Flag Day will be organized every year in their memory. The police are not only in the forefront of maintaining peace and security but also in service programs, and he especially wanted everyone to come forward to donate blood without believing the myths about blood donation. He said that the blood donation we do will be of great benefit to those in danger of death during emergencies and accidents, and to those suffering from head injuries.
