RSD-Sircilla news: Assistant helpers working in CESS are boycotting work for 72 hours to protest the delay in resolving the problems of their employees, said Telangana State United Electricity Employees Union State President Secretaries K Easwar Rao and Naluwala Swamy. Speaking at a meeting held at Sircilla Press Club on 02.03.2026, they said that the assistant helpers working in CESS have submitted five petitions to the CESS MD to resolve the problems of their employees, but not a single issue has been resolved. They stated that the monthly FTA has been stopped for the last eight months, the annual increment due in September 2025 has not been given, the family members of workers who lost their lives in the line of duty have not been regularized, and the leave encashment policy is not being implemented for workers working in CESS. They said that all the workers known as AHs are ITI electrical graduates. Technically speaking, they are all technicians, but in CESS, they are called assistant helpers, which is an insult to the self-respect of the workers. They explained that they are engaging in anti-labor policies such as giving the lowest wages by giving the name of assistant helper. They announced that they would boycott duties for 72 hours from the 11th to the 14th of March 2026 to protest the delay in resolving the issues. They said that they would also protest in various forms during these 72 hours. They also said that the CESS Chairman and CESS MD should meet and consult with the union to resolve the issues of the workers and resolve the issues. The meeting was attended by CESS Committee President Karnala Anil Kumar, Secretary S Srinivasa Reddy, Working President Erra Mallesham, Treasurer S Rambabu and others.
