Comprehensive discussion needed on education commission recommendations

RSD-Sircilla news: TSUTF State President Chava Ravi demanded that a comprehensive discussion be held regarding the Telangana State Education Commission report. He insisted that provisions detrimental to the public education sector as well as those that undermine the dignity of teachers must be rejected, while measures that contribute to educational development should be implemented. He stated that the decision to implement the report unilaterally without consulting teacher associations or education experts, and without even tabling it for discussion in the Legislative Assembly is inappropriate. He further requested that at least one school in every Gram Panchayat be upgraded to a “Telangana Public School,” and that pre-primary classes be introduced in all primary schools. He also called for a minimum of two teachers in every primary school, and specifically requested that schools with 50 or more students be allotted one teacher per class, accordingly, he urged the government to amend G.O. 25 to reflect these requirements. The TSUTF Rajanna Sircilla District Committee meeting was held on 02.04.2026 at the local Geetha Nagar High School, presided over by G. Mahender Rao. Chava Ravi attended the meeting as the chief guest and addressed the gathering. Another chief guest, TSUTF State General Secretary A. Venkat, spoke on the occasion, noting that employees and pensioners are eagerly awaiting the Second Telangana PRC (Pay Revision Commission) report. He demanded that the government refrain from extending the PRC deadline any further, instead, he urged them to immediately procure the report, hold consultations with the employee associations, and implement its recommendations. It was announced that, under the leadership of the Employee’s JAC, preparations are underway for an agitation demanding the release of pending bills, the declaration of four pending Dearness Allowance (DA) installments, the formulation of service rules for teachers, and the implementation of promotions for supervisory officers.
