Coordination is essential to ensure the smooth conduct of the vote counting process

RSD-Sircilla news: In the wake of the municipal elections, In-charge Collector and District Election Officer Garima Agrawal instructed officials to coordinate effectively to ensure the smooth conduct of the municipal vote counting process on February 13th 2026. A training program on counting duties for ROs, AROs, Counting Supervisors, Assistants, Tahsildars, and MPDOs was conducted on 07.02.2026 at the District Integrated Offices Complex, which was attended by In-charge Collector and District Election Officer Garima Agrawal. She explained the precautions to be taken during counting and other aspects of the vote counting process through a PowerPoint presentation. On this occasion, In-charge Collector and District Election Officer Garima Agrawal stated that all arrangements are being made for counting at the C. Narayana Reddy Kala Mandiram in Sircilla and Vemulawada. She instructed that postal ballots should be counted first on the counting day. Subsequently, votes should be counted ward-wise, and after the completion of each round, the signatures of the agents should be obtained. According to Election Commission rules, mobile phones are not allowed inside the counting centers except for authorized officials, it was clarified. Police officials were instructed to take strict security measures. They were advised to ensure that the counting of votes takes place in strict adherence to the guidelines of the State Election Commission at all counting centers. They were also instructed to send the relevant reports regularly. Election counting officers and staff were told to develop a complete understanding of their assigned duties. Subsequently, a demonstration was given to provide awareness on the counting of postal ballots. Instructions were given to install CCTV cameras in all counting centers. Additional Collector Gaddam Nagesh, Sircilla RDO Venkateshwarlu, Training Nodal Officer Srinivasachari, Sircilla and Vemulawada Municipal Commissioners Khadeer Pasha and Sampath Kumar, trainer Mahender Reddy, and others participated in this program.
