RSD- Vemulawada news: Chanakya Nursing Home in Vemulawada town was seized by the district medical department officials on 07.01.2025 for not following the rules and regulations of the state and health departments. Speaking on the occasion, District Medical Health Officer Rajitha said that the hospital administrators did not follow the government guidelines in their management, the building permit was not valid for the management of the hospital, and the documents related to the building were not submitted at the time of registration. Similarly, the hospital did not have the required minimum 40 feet approach road, in case of any fire, a fire engine was not allowed to enter, and most importantly, the medical registration certificate related to the nursing home was obtained from the Andhra Pradesh Medical Council in the name of Sheikh Suhail, which was not from the Telangana Medical Council, and the temporary registration of the hospital was canceled only after examining all the aspects. Meanwhile, the hospital administrators said that the hospital was seized not only for personal reasons but also for political reasons, and that it was illegal for the officials to target only their hospital even though many hospitals in the town were following the rules and were angry at the officials behavior. He said that he would approach the courts in this matter. On the other hand, after learning about the hospital being sealed, BJP district president Prathapa Ramakrishna and BRS leaders reached the hospital and strongly condemned the behavior of the authorities.
