Election Code of Conduct being strictly implemented

RSD- Sircilla news: District SP Mahesh B. Gite stated that the Model Code of Conduct for the Gram Panchayat elections is being strictly implemented in the district. He said that since the implementation of the election code of conduct, 11 cases have been registered in the district for violations of the code. He also stated that surveillance was maintained on the illegal sale and transportation of liquor, and during surprise raids, 1525 litres of illegal liquor and Rs. 23,28,500/- in cash were seized in 98 cases. He added that 782 people in 224 cases, who were likely to disrupt peace and order during the elections or had committed crimes in previous elections, have been bound over. He urged the public to strictly follow the election code of conduct as directed by the Election Commission, cooperate fully with the police, and exercise their right to vote in a free and peaceful environment.
