Everyone should take advantage of government schemes

RSD- Sircilla news: G. Raghav Rao, Assistant Director, Handloom Textiles Department, made a call at a mental development conference organized by the Mind Care and Counseling Center. On 27.05.2025, the Mind Care and Counseling Center of the Government General Hospital and the Handloom Textiles Department organized a counseling program for working families under the guidance of renowned psychologist K. Punnamchander. G. Raghav Rao, Assistant Director, Handloom and Textiles Department, Rajanna Siricilla, attended the program as the chief guest and spoke. Speaking on the occasion, they urged people to take advantage of government schemes and come into development. He said that the government has set up a special scheme for women empowerment sarees for workers and the textile industry. He said that with the aim of providing a handful of jobs, the Welfare Department, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, school uniforms and some other private orders are also ready to be given. He said that they are constantly working to provide jobs. Explaining that the government is taking all necessary steps for the textile industry, he said that schemes like yarn subsidy, thrift scheme, and weaver insurance are being implemented. He said that people should not commit suicide in the heat of the moment, and that the government is standing by the workers. Eminent psychologist K. Punnamchander said that suicide does not solve the problem, but rather increases the problem. He asked people to contact the Mind Care and Counseling Center when they face suicidal thoughts and mental problems. He asked the workers to explain about sleep problems, alcohol addiction, and habits like tobacco and to avoid them. Community Facilitator Vemula Markandeya said that the government has established community facilitators for public welfare. He said that they are always available to solve any problems that arise.
