Flag march conducted in Sircilla town center for free and fair elections

RSD- Sircilla news: In view of the municipal elections, a flag march was conducted on 06.02.2026 in Sircilla town center with district police forces to ensure that no untoward incidents occur and that the elections are conducted in a peaceful atmosphere. Speaking on this occasion, the District SP Mahesh B. Gite IPS said that the flag march program was conducted to enhance the sense of security among the people. He said that the elections will be conducted in accordance with the guidelines suggested by the Election Commission, enabling people to exercise their right to vote freely. He warned that everyone must strictly follow the election code of conduct and that action will be taken against those who violate the election rules. He said that robust police security arrangements are being made to prevent untoward incidents during the Sircilla and Vemulawada municipal elections, and that strict action will be taken according to law against anyone who behaves illegally or tries to create disturbances. He also urged people to inform the police if they notice the illegal transportation of liquor, money, or other items intended to influence voters. Siricilla DSP Nagendrachari, Inspectors Krishna and Srinivas, RI Suresh, SIs Srikanth, Upendrachari, Raju, Dileep, Rahul Reddy, Lakshman, Vinitha Reddy, Junaid, and other police personnel participated in the flag march.
