‘Grievance Day’ Initiative Aims to Resolve Victims’ Issues

RSD- Sircilla news: The District SP Mahesh B. Gite stated that a ‘Grievance Day’ program is being conducted every Monday at the District Police Office with the objective of receiving complaints from the public and resolving their issues, thereby ensuring swift justice for victims. During the Grievance Day program held on 30.03.2026, 36 complaints were received from petitioners hailing from various parts of the district. The SP subsequently contacted the officials of the respective police stations by phone and issued directives to resolve the victim’s issues legally and expeditiously. Speaking on this occasion, the SP remarked that “Our goal is to bring police services closer to the public and to strive effectively toward resolving public grievances. Police officers and personnel must treat complainants visiting the police station with courtesy, receive their petitions and complaints, conduct on-field verifications where necessary, and ensure that justice is delivered to victims in accordance with the law. This approach will instill a sense of assurance and trust in the Police Department among the complainants.” He added that complaints received during Grievance Day are being digitized online by periodically reviewing the progress of their resolution, the department aims to provide even more efficient services to the public. The SP further stated that through Grievance Day, citizens can directly bring their issues to the attention of officials, thereby ensuring that these problems are resolved as quickly as possible.
