While on Blue Colt duty around 10:00 PM, constables K. Chanti and L. Praveen approached a suspicious parked taxi on Dairy Farm Road. The accused, caught engaging in indecent activity with a woman, deliberately drove into their bike to evade police, resulting in grievous injuries to Constable Praveen&#8217;s leg and minor injuries to Constable Chanti. The accused fled the scene. Using CCTV footage and technical analysis, police identified and apprehended the accused on 08-07-2025 near Dilsukhnagar Metro Station, seizing the crime vehicle (TS07UM7908) and a OnePlus smartphone. The car was being operated under a ride-sharing platform and taken on lease from a fleet operator.
