During this check, a police team stopped and inspected a car bearing registration number TS 09 ER 7367. The car driver\/owner, Purumadla Venkat Reddy, son of Narayana Reddy, a resident of Chandlapur village, Chinnakodur Mandal, was found to be carrying unaccounted and suspicious cash amounting to Rs. 4,00,000\/- (Four Lakh Rupees) in his car. He stated that he was going to Siricilla. The cash amount was seized by the SST team in-charge, Srikanth, in the presence of witnesses (panchnama witnesses), as per election rules and legal procedures. Further inquiry\/investigation is underway to ascertain the source and intended use of the cash. This was stated by Siricilla Town Inspector K.
