Around 180 people secured MBBS seats in the first round of counselling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>135 people got seats from social welfare gurukulas and 45 people got seats from tribal gurukulas. Among them, 30 are regular inter students and 105 are from long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Five students from minority residential junior colleges of Telangana also got medical seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The power of tribal gurukulas<br>Last year 41 people got medicine seats from tribal gurukulas, this time 45 people got seats. 18 of them are girls. 8 people were selected from regular inter and 37 people from long term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the first time, a student belonging to Particular Vulnerable Tribal Groups, PVTG, also secured an MBBS seat.
