Rajanna Sircilla District achieves national recognition in mobile recovery

RSD- Sircilla news: The Rajanna Sircilla district police have earned nationwide recognition and achieved a remarkable feat in mobile phone recovery. By effectively utilizing the CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) system and achieving a 78 percent mobile recovery rate, the district police force has secured the first position among South Indian states, a matter of great pride. By promptly addressing complaints regarding mobile phones lost or stolen in various incidents in the district, and by effectively using modern technology, digital tracking methods, and the CEIR application, they have so far recovered and returned a total of 2,286 mobile phones to the victims, achieving a remarkable 78 percent recovery rate. With this outstanding performance, Rajanna Sircilla district has secured the first position among all South Indian states. On this occasion, State DGP Shivadhar Reddy IPS congratulated and praised the district police officers, expressing his delight. It is a matter of pride that the district police have secured the first position at the South India level under the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, New Delhi, for their outstanding performance in mobile phone recovery. District SP Mahesh B Gite will attend the national-level conference to be held in Ernakulam, Kerala on the 12th of February 2026, where he will explain the best practices, operational strategies, and successful experiences followed in mobile phone recovery through CEIR and receive the award. On this occasion, the District SP said, that the recognition at the All India level and securing the first position among the southern states in mobile phone recovery is a testament to the performance and commitment of the Telangana Police. He stated that these results were possible due to responsible and immediate response to complaints, full utilization of modern digital systems like CEIR, and technically skilled tracking. The District SP advised the public to immediately file a complaint at the police station and also utilize the CEIR portal services if their mobile phone is lost or stolen.The District SP congratulated IT Core Sub-Inspector Kiran Kumar and Constable Thirumalesh, along with the staff of all police stations across the district, for their exceptional performance in mobile phone recovery. The District SP clarified that their goal is to continue working with the same dedication and commitment in the future, providing even better, faster, and more transparent police services to the public. The SP stated that the police department will move forward by utilizing technology more extensively and strengthening public trust.
