Sircilla town police seized illegally transported liquor

RSD-Sircilla news: On this occasion, Sircilla Town Inspector Krishna said that based on information that liquor and other valuable items were being transported to bribe voters during the municipal elections, they went to Peddur in Sircilla. There, they apprehended an individual named Gaddam Kishan, who was carrying liquor bottles worth Rs. 19,478/- to distribute to voters in the 8th ward. Kishan confessed that he was carrying the liquor bottles at the behest of Jangiti Devayya, the husband of Jangiti Pushpa, who is contesting from the BJP party in the 8th ward, to distribute to the voters. The liquor bottles were seized in the presence of witnesses, a case was registered against the accused, and an investigation has been initiated. He further stated that if anyone has information about money, liquor, or other valuable items being transported to bribe voters during the municipal elections, they should inform the police station. He warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone who engages in activities that disrupt law and order, in accordance with the election code of conduct.
