Sircilla town police seized illegally transported liquor worth 19k

RSD- Sircilla news: Sircilla Town inspector Krishna said that based on information that liquor and other valuable items were being transported to bribe voters during the municipal elections, they went to Subhash Nagar in Sircilla. There, they found an individual named Rachamallu Ramu transporting 96 bottles of Royal Stag Whisky (180 ml each), worth Rs. 19,008/-, on his motorcycle to distribute to voters in the 5th ward. He confessed that he was taking the liquor bottles at the behest of Darnam Lakshminarayana, the husband of Darnam Aruna, who is contesting from the 5th ward on behalf of the BRS party. The liquor bottles and the motorcycle were seized in the presence of witnesses, a case was registered against the accused, and an investigation has been initiated. He further stated that if anyone has information about money, liquor, or other valuable items being transported to bribe voters during the municipal elections, they should inform the police station. He warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone who engages in activities that disrupt law and order, in accordance with the election code of conduct.
