Special Central Forces for critical polling stations
RSD- District news: District SP said that all arrangements have been completed in terms of police department to conduct transparent elections in the district with a strong plan. He said that the police officers and staff who came to conduct the election duties in the district have been made aware of the security duties in Sircilla and Vemulawada towns to conduct the elections in a peaceful environment, especially the duties to be performed by the route security, polling station security and patrolling party police during the election. Any untoward incidents should be reported to the higher authorities immediately.
Security arrangements are as follows:
In order to conduct elections in a peaceful atmosphere, a strong deployment of 1500 district and central police forces has been made in the district. Special patrolling parties with inspector level officers for each mandal, route mobiles 57, quick reaction teams 13, striking force 06, special striking teams 02, central, other forces and trainee constables are also being used.

Details held from the date of commencement of the Election Code:
1. Cash acquired so far is Rs.82,11,362/-.
2. 1664.93 litres of liquor with an approximate estimated value of Rs.10,20,222/-.
3. Ganja 16 cases were registered and 9 kg 209 grams of ganja was seized.
4. Out of 446 cases, 1078 people have been bound over in the district so far.
5. NBW was executed were 82.
6. 16 cases of violations of election rules were recorded.
7. Total 23 weapons in the district have been deposited.
Actions will be taken to ensure that those who come from other areas for campaigning are not local, those from other areas who are staying in lodges, guest houses, hotels and members of political parties. The SP urged the people of the district to cooperate with the police and exercise the right to vote in a free environment by following the election rules ordered by the Election Commission. If there is information that money, liquor and other valuables are being carried to entice voters, they are advised to inform them by dialling 100 or the concerned police station. According to the election rules, strict action will be taken against anyone who commits acts disturbing the law and order.
