RSD-Hyderabad news: The Telangana Food Safety Department has cancelled the central kitchen license of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions in Madhapur. On January 24, 2025, food safety officials conducted a surprise inspection in this kitchen. Officials found that food is being supplied to the hostels of Chaitanya Colleges in Greater Hyderabad from this kitchen. The meals cooked here are being served to thousands of students in the hostels every day. Food safety officials expressed their anger over the unhygienic condition of the kitchen, which prepares meals for thousands of people. It was found that spoiled food items were stored in the kitchen. Officials seized about 125 kg of expired food items. Rice, vegetables and pulses were found to be stored in an unhygienic environment. The officials, who found cockroaches and rats roaming in the kitchen and store room, have reported to the higher authorities to seize the kitchen and cancel the food license. To this end, the officials have issued fresh orders canceling the central kitchen license of Chaitanya Vidya Sansthan in Madhapur (Khanamet). They have ordered to stop food preparation in the kitchen immediately. They have warned that strict action will be taken if food is prepared in violation of the orders.
