Telangana Police excel in National Sports

RSD-Hyderabad news: Telangana Police athletes recently demonstrated exceptional talent at the 2nd All India Police Kabaddi Cluster (2025-2026) sports competitions, held in Jammu & Kashmir, thereby upholding the prestige of the state police force on a national stage. Director General of Police B. Shivadhar Reddy congratulated the athletes, who returned with medals, at his office. In these competitions, the Telangana team displayed great determination in the Men’s Kho-Kho category, securing a bronze medal. Fifteen athletes from various units showcased their skills and played a pivotal role in this victory. Notably, Inspectors B. Srinivas and S. Mattam Raju (Cyber Crime), RSI A. Ramesh, and P. Ranjith Kumar (from Vanasthalipuram PS) served as coaches and captains, while constables from various TGSAP battalions contributed significantly to the team’s triumph. Similarly, in the Women’s Fencing category, Woman Constable Shaik Fauzia currently serving at the Bhuvanagiri Rural Police Station delivered an extraordinary performance. Advancing all the way to the finals, she secured a silver medal following a fierce contest, bringing laurels to the State Police Department. The DGP also commended the efforts of her coach, NIS Fencing Coach S.R. Arjun Anand, who trained her. Sports IGP Dr. Gajarao Bhupal was also present at this event, Sports Officer Dr. R.V. Ramarao, and others participated.
