Woman killed and framed as suicide
RSD- Hayathnagar news: The family members of the deceased protested in front of the police station claiming that their child was framed as a suicide. This incident took place in Hayatnagar of Rangareddy District. According to the family members of the deceased, Divya and Shiva got married 14 months ago and have a six-month-old baby. They are residing in Banjara Colony in Hayatnagar. Divya died on 30.07.2024 night. Alleging that her husband Shiva and aunt’s family members killed Divya and filmed it as a suicide, the deceased’s family members and relatives protested in front of the Hayatnagar Police Station. Divya’s dead body was not shown at least.
The family stationed themselves in front of the police station saying that they are cooperating with the accused. As a result, there was a heavy traffic jam on the Vijayawada National Highway. In this sequence, the victim’s family members went inside the station and attacked Shiva who was in police custody. They also attacked several staff members who tried to stop them. They stopped agitating when the CI of Hayatnagar said that justice would be done to the victim’s family. According to the complaint filed by deceased father, we have registered a case and are investigating. We have kept the girl’s family members in the police station as they wanted to get back the dowry they had given for the wedding. The girl’s family members were not allowed to enter the police station as there was a chance of them attacking the boy. We spoke to both the families before the dharna.
