RSD- Sircilla news: The District SP Mahesh B. Gite IPS,assured that female students and women should not be afraid when they are harassed, and if they come forward bravely and file a complaint, strict action will be taken against the culprits. In the district, the She Team conducts awareness programs in educational institutions and workplaces for women on ragging/eve-teasing/POCSO/She Teams/women’s laws. In January 2026, based on the complaints received by the She Team, 02 FIRs and 04 petty cases were registered. Those harassing women and female students were identified, and counselling was conducted in the presence of their parents. On this occasion, the SP said that, students and women should not be afraid when they feel insecure, but should come forward bravely and file a complaint with the She Team, assuring that strict action will be taken against the culprits. He stated that special measures are being taken for the protection of women and female students in the district. He primarily advised women and female students to be vigilant with strangers, not to share their personal information with them, and to be especially cautious with people they meet on social media. He suggested that women, students, and girls who are subjected to sexual harassment or ragging at their workplaces or anywhere else should not remain silent but should bravely file a complaint. He warned that strict action will be taken against anyone who harasses women and young girls. The SP stated that if anyone harasses them in educational institutions, speaks disrespectfully while they are walking on the road, or intentionally follows them at their workplaces, they should immediately complain to the District She Team number 8712656425, and legal action will be taken against the perpetrators.
