𝗜𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗰𝘆 & 𝗕𝗮𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗱

RSD- Hyderabad news: Gopalapuram Police, with support from the Medical & Health Dept., busted a major illegal surrogacy and baby-selling racket operated by DR. Athaluri Namratha of Universal Srushti Fertility Centers. The accused, along with her son and associates, ran unauthorized IVF clinics in Hyderabad, Vizag, Vijayawada, and Kondapur. A Hyderabad couple was duped of ₹35 lakhs and handed a baby not biologically theirs, backed by forged documents. Investigation revealed the racket involved luring vulnerable women into pregnancy and selling newborns under the guise of surrogacy. Clinics were raided, equipment seized, and multiple arrests made. Over 10 prior cases exist. The accused also forged documents using another doctor’s name despite cancelled licenses. Commercial surrogacy is banned. Report such frauds to police.
