17th Police Battalion, Republic Day celebrations

RSD- Sircilla news: On the occasion of Republic Day, on 26.01.2025 at 17th Police Battalion, Sardapur, Battalion Commandant T. Gangaram unfurled the national flag and extended greetings to the police officers and personnel on the occasion of 76th Republic Day. Speaking on the occasion, Commandant T. Gangaram said that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, Babu Rajendra Prasad, many educationists, lawyers and prominent people from various fields worked hard to draft the Constitution. He said that it took 2 years, 11 months and 18 days to draft the Constitution of India. The Constitution was drafted under the Drafting Committee headed by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. The Constitution of India came into effect on 26 January 1950. On 26 January 1930, the national flag was unfurled for the first time in Lahore and the Purna Swaraj resolution was passed. That is why January 26 has a special significance, and the Constitution came into effect from 26 January 1950. He informed that January 26, the day the Constitution of India came into effect, is celebrated as Republic Day every year. On this occasion, Commandant T. Gangaram decorated the excellent service schemes for Srinivas (ARSI-101), Shyam Rao (ARSI-79), Ram Singh (ARSI-104), Anudu Singh (ARSI- 105) who showed excellent performance in their duties and R.I. Sridhar, R.S.I. Swami Rangaiah, P. Ramesh (ARSI-725) J. Praveen (Hc-370), Dinakaran (PC-906) were presented with certificates of appreciation by the Collector. Battalion Assistant Commandant, Ramdas, Administrative Officer B. Pramila, officers and staff participated in this program.
