Cases registered on 10 for illegal finance business
RSD- Sircilla news: On 10.07.2025 morning, the police formed 20 teams and conducted surprise checks on those who were conducting illegal interest and finance business without permits across the district. Eight people involved in illegal interest and finance business were arrested and various documents worth approximately Rs. 60,00,000/- along with several pledged vehicles (04 two-wheelers and one auto) were seized, the District SP said in a statement. The SP warned that strict action will be taken as per the law if the common people are inconvenienced by conducting finance without permission in the district with high interest rates. Speaking on the occasion, the SP warned that strict legal action will be taken against the businessmen who take advantage of the financial needs of the people and charge them high interest rates. The SP urged people not to take loans at high interest rates beyond their needs for their urgent and temporary needs and later commit suicide due to not being able to pay the debts and high interest rates and put their families in trouble. He said that only those who conduct finance in legal ways with government permission should be trusted and that the details of those who do not have any government permission and who run illegal finance businesses without any government permission can be given to him at the district police office, and that the details of those who give information would be kept confidential and the police department will work to ensure justice to the victims by conducting a thorough investigation. Taking and giving loans is not a crime, but according to the RBI rules and regulations and the provisions of the Telangana Money Lending Act, anyone cannot legally give or take loans with a license, and if they violate the law and abuse the common people with high interest rates, legal action will be taken, the district SP warned.
