One year in prison and a fine for accused in theft case

RSD- Sircilla news: Sircilla First Class Judge Praveen announced the verdict on 15.07.2025, imposing a one-year prison sentence and a fine of Rs. 1,000 on a person in a theft case, said Sircilla Town Inspector Krishna. The inspector said this to this extent that a person named Adepu Rajendra Prasad, a resident of Ambikanagar, Sircilla, is working as an enforcement officer. Rajendra Prasad’s children were in America, so he went to America on 25.04.2023 to see them. Since the house was not to be empty, he rented it to a person named Konda Ranjith. Rajendra Prasad came to Karimnagar from America on 25.07.2023 and stayed there. When he returned to his house in Ambika Nagar, Sircilla on 29.07.2023 at 11 am, he found that the Sony TV, HP gas cylinder, submersible motor in the house had been stolen. He lodged a complaint at the Sircilla police station. After the then S.I P. Srinivas Rao registered a case, the investigating officer, Upender CI, arrested the accused Konda Ranjith and sent him on remand. Later, a charge sheet was filed in the court. Under the leadership of CMS R.S.I. Sravan, the court constable Vemula Naresh presented eight (8) witnesses. Public Prosecutor Chelumula Sandeep argued for the prosecution, and Judge Praveen, who examined the circumstances of the case, sentenced the accused, Konda Ranjith to one year of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of one thousand rupees, said Sircilla Town Inspector Krishna.
