RSD- Sircilla news: On 19.12.2025 Helping Hearts Welfare Society, a non-governmental organization, in collaboration with the Telangana Psychologists Association, Rajanna Sircilla district, organized a counselling program at the government old age home in Mandepalli. Prominent psychologist Punnamchander Kanukuntla attended the program as the chief guest and conducted face-to-face counselling with the elderly residents. Speaking on this occasion, he said, Old age is not a curse, it is a natural phase of life. He explained that every stage of life has its own value and urged the elderly not to overthink. He advised them to view old age with respect, not as a burden, and to live happily. He raised awareness about mental health issues such as loneliness, depression, anxiety, and insomnia commonly seen in the elderly, and explained the need to live with positive thoughts. He suggested that family members should treat the elderly with love and patience and give importance to their words. Aluvala Eshwar, president of the Helping Hearts NGO, stated that the aim of this program is to enhance the mental strength and self-confidence of the elderly. Representatives of the Helping Hearts Welfare Society stated that they will be conducting more such awareness and counselling programs in other areas in the future. The program was attended by Aluvala Eshwar, president of the Helping Hearts Welfare Society NGO, Yelagonda Anjaneyulu, Advocate Dasari Tirumala, old age home staff member Mamatha, volunteers, and representatives of the organization.
