Students should get rid of fear of exams says Psychologist K. Punnamchander

RSD-Sircilla news: On 24.02.2026, an awareness program on Examination Stress was organized for students at the Zilla Parishad High School in Baddenapally under the Helping Hearts Welfare Society NGO and the Telangana Psychologists Association. Eminent psychologist K.Punnamchander provided counseling to the students in this program. Speaking on the occasion, Punnamchander said, “Students should not see exams as a fear but as an opportunity. If there is proper planning, time management and a positive attitude, they can succeed in the exams.” He explained how to control symptoms like anxiety, fear and insomnia before exams. Explaining the mind mapping method in detail to the students, he said that if a topic is divided into picture form and read, it can be remembered easily. He said that writing the main points in the form of branches increases memory power. Similarly, he explained about memory techniques and said that by using methods like Association method, Visualization technique, Repetition method, Keyword techniques, the things read can be remembered for a long time.In this program, the president of the NGO Helping Hearts Welfare Society, Aluvala Easwar, Mandal Education Officer Bhukya Raju Nayak, teachers Shankar, Tirupathi Reddy, Ranji Nayak, Vikram, Ramana participated and students eagerly asked and cleared their doubts. The school principal said that this awareness program was very useful for the students.
