CM reviews arrangements for Godavari Pushkaralu – 2027

RSD- Telangana news: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy conducted a high-level review meeting with the Cabinet Sub-Committee and senior officials on the preparations for the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu scheduled in June 2027. The meeting focused on development plans for major temples and Pushkar ghats along the Godavari river stretch from Basara to Bhadrachalam. Officials presented detailed proposals through a PowerPoint presentation, outlining works to be completed ahead of the Pushkaralu. The Chief Minister directed officials to constitute a Technical Engineers Committee to identify suitable locations for ghats. The committee has been instructed to undertake field visits and submit its report within 15–20 days. Based on this, an official’s committee will prepare a comprehensive report with estimates and submit it to the Cabinet Sub-Committee. The final decision on the proposals will be taken by the Cabinet after due approval. Emphasizing timely execution, the Chief Minister instructed that both permanent and temporary works be planned and completed in a phased and priority based manner. He also directed the establishment of a dedicated war room at Praja Bhavan to ensure effective coordination among various departments. The Chief Minister further instructed officials to expand ghats at major temples and tourist destinations, and to improve road connectivity and interlinking routes to facilitate smooth movement of devotees during the Pushkaralu. During the meeting, the Chief Minister also reviewed the master plan for the development and expansion of the Gnana Saraswati Temple and issued necessary directions to officials. Ministers Konda Surekha, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Tummala Nageswara Rao, Ponnam Prabhakar, Adluri Laxman Kumar, Government Advisor Sudarsan Reddy, MP Vem Narender Reddy, MLA Rama Rao Patel, Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, senior officials and departmental heads were present in the meeting.
