Self-enumeration process must be made a success
RSD- Sircilla news: As part of the 2027 Census, District Collector and District & Principal Census Officer, Garima Agarwal, called for the successful implementation of the self-enumeration process. On 26.04.2026, at the District Integrated Offices Complex, the District Collector personally completed her self-enumeration, a process scheduled to be conducted from the 26.04.2026 until the 10.05.2026 as part of the 2027 Census initiative. Speaking on this occasion, District Collector and District & Principal Census Officer Garima Agarwal advised citizens to log in via the website https://se.census.gov.in. She clarified that the entire process takes only five minutes to complete and emphasized that the website is fully secure. She further assured the public that their personal information would remain completely safe and confidential. She noted that identity cards and other relevant details have been issued to the enumerators and supervisors who will be visiting households. She urged the residents of the district to cooperate with the survey teams by providing accurate responses to the 34 questions asked. She also clarified that the information provided by citizens during the self-enumeration process would not pose any hurdles regarding their eligibility for government welfare schemes. She reiterated that the self-enumeration drive would be conducted across the district from the 26.04.2026 through the 10.05.2026. Finally, she urged officials and staff from all government departments, as well as public representatives within the district, to complete their self-enumeration. It was stated that Sarpanches, Councilors, Ward Members, and other government or private employees can register using their mobile phones. It was further reported that training has been provided to 1,025 enumerators and 173 supervisors in connection with the census operations. Officials revealed that this marks the first census to be conducted since the formation of the state of Telangana, and it will be carried out using a digital methodology. It was noted that, to date, 1,117 House Listing Blocks have been identified. CPO Srinivasachari, EDM Srinivas, SO Sampath Kumar, and others participated in the event.

Step-by-Step Procedure:
1. Open this link: https://se.census.gov.in
2. At the ‘Self Enumeration (HLO) Login’ section, select ‘Telangana’, enter the Captcha code, and click ‘Verify & Proceed’.
3. On the ‘Welcome’ page, enter the name of the Head of the Household and their mobile number.
4. Only one mobile number should be used per household. Enter the OTP received on your mobile and click ‘Verify & Proceed’. Subsequently, select your preferred language.
5 Enter the details regarding your District, Town/Village, and PIN Code.
6 Switch ON the ‘Location’ service on your mobile device and place the red marker đź“Ť at your exact home location.
7 Answer the 33 questions pertaining to your household details; review your responses via the ‘Preview’ option, and then click ‘Submit’.
8 Upon successful submission, you will receive an 11-digit ‘SE ID’ (Self-Enumeration ID) that begins with the letter ‘H’. Take a screenshot of it or make a note of it for safekeeping.
If you show this SE ID to the enumerator visiting your home on or after May 11th 2026, they will approve it.
