Establishment of Cottage Industry for Women is Commendable: Sircilla Congress President Sura Devaraju
RSD_Sircilla:Sircilla Town Congress President Sura Devaraju said that establishing a cottage industry to provide employment to women at their doorstep is commendable.
On Monday, he inaugurated a cotton wick (Vattulu) making machine at the Disciples of Jesus Christ Church in BY Nagar, Sircilla, under the leadership of Pastor John Issac.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that through wick-making, women have the opportunity to earn from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,000 per day while staying at home. He appreciated that a machine worth around Rs. 95,000 is being provided for just Rs. 65,000.
He said that such cottage industries are very useful for women who otherwise have to go to distant places for employment, and urged everyone to make the best use of this opportunity.
