Tragedy in Rajanna Sircilla: Class 10 Girl Dies by Suicide After Harassment, Case Filed Against Youth – CI Ravindar
RSD_Rajanna Sircilla: In a tragic incident that has shocked Rajanna Sircilla district, a 15-year-old Class 10 student died by suicide allegedly due to persistent harassment by a youth. The incident took place in Lingampet village of Chandurthi mandal.
According to police, the minor girl was studying in a local school. A youth from the neighbouring Rudrangi mandal had been allegedly harassing her in the name of love for the past few months.
The girl’s family had earlier called the youth and warned him not to harass their daughter. However, he allegedly continued to harass her through phone calls and Instagram messages, causing severe mental distress.
Deeply distressed by the continuous harassment, the girl died by suicide on Saturday morning when no one was at home. Family members found her and were left in inconsolable grief.
CI Ravindar Issues Statement:
Chandurthi Circle Inspector K. Ravindar has issued a statement on the incident. Based on the complaint filed by the victim’s family, a case has been registered against the accused and investigation has been intensified. He said the accused will be taken into custody soon and strict legal action will be taken.
Police are investigating further.
