Driver’s license mela
RSD- Sircilla news: Under the initiative of the police department, a license mela was organized to create awareness among the young men and women under the police stations of Rudrangi and Veernapalli mandals, received applications from them, made them aware of the online test related to driver’s license, gave learning license to 72 people who qualified in the test and gave them a driving test in the month of February 2024. The whip distributed the licenses to those who qualified in the Sircilla town police station along with the district collector, district SP and officials of the transport department.
Speaking on this occasion, he praised that the district police department has started a good program with social consciousness and that the district police is working very hard by undertaking many social programs in addition to law and order. He said that all those who are eligible for driving must take a driver’s license. In the case of accidents, the first thing that is asked for is the license. Then the collector spoke and appreciated the district police administration for the measures taken to prevent traffic accidents in the district. Apart from this, he said that as part of the license fair program, the services of IDTR can also be used and the youth who have taken the driver’s license will go towards self-employment. SP spoke on this occasion and said that during the inspection of vehicles in the district, it has been found that a large number of motorists are driving vehicles without a license. It is a crime to drive vehicles without a license. Taking into account the difficulties and lack of awareness faced by many motorists in the district to get a license, licenses are being issued in stages under the police department at a fixed fee.
