Demise of Trade Union leader Com. G.T. Gopal Rao
RSD- Hyderabad news: Confederation of Central Government Gazetted Officers Organisations (CCGGOO), Telangana All Pensioners & Retired Persons Association (TAPRPA), AIDEF, CCGEW and other organisations deeply condole the sad demise of Com. G.T. Gopal Rao (73) on 06.04.2025 at 7 AM. He was struggling with throat cancer for 2 years. He was a fighter all along and fought for the cause of the Defence Civilian Employees in general and DRDO employees in particular. He is the Addl. General Secretary of All India Defence Employees Federation (AIDEF) and Vice President of Telangana All Pensioners & Retired Persons Association (TAPRPA). He was also the leader/ Staff side of DRDO JCM- lll level council. He was forced to take early retirement from DLRL and victimized for fighting for the cause of DRDO employees. Despite all these attacks, he relentlessly participated and led many struggles. He played a crucial role in drafting memoranda to the 6th & 7th CPCs. He is a leader of the Confederation of Central Government Employees & Workers (CCGEW) and contract workers. His demise is a big loss to the Central Government employee’s movement in general and Defence in particular. CCGGOO , TAPRPA, AIDEF & CCGEW pay homage to the departed Comrade and convey their deepest condolences to the bereaved family, affiliated Unions and others who are associated with him. His body was brought to the residence of his elder son G.T Vasu (M) 9573590990, Plot No.84, Treasure enclave, Nadergul, Balapur Mandal, Hyderabad and the funeral procession started at 9 AM on 07.04.2025.
