ACB caught Inspector and SI for accepting 2 lakh bribe

RSD- Shamshabad news: The Anti-Corruption Department officials conducted sensational raids at the Shamshabad Airport Outpost Police Station. The ACB caught two police officers red-handed while taking bribe. The ACB raids, which began on 07.04.2026 evening, continued till midnight. On this occasion, the officers caught Inspector Kanakaiah and SI Siddeshwar while accepting a bribe of Rs. 2 lakh. According to the details given by Ranga Reddy District ACB DSP Anand Kumar, a person from Kerala tried to travel with a fake education certificate, and a case was registered at the Shamshabad Airport Outpost Police Station. Later, he was sent to remand and after being released from jail, he has been attending the police station every Sunday. ACB officials revealed that the inspector and the sub-inspector together demanded a bribe of Rs. 15 lakh from the victim to file a charge sheet in this case. They also threatened to implicate the victim’s family members in the case. The victim, who said that he could not pay such a large amount, finally agreed to pay Rs. 5 lakh. Later, when the ACB officials were informed about this, they laid a trap with a well-planned plan. In the first installment, the victim went to the police station with Rs. 2 lakh in cash, but while receiving the amount, the ACB officials attacked and caught both of them red-handed. On 08.04.2026, searches were conducted at the house and more than Rs. 30 lakh in cash and property documents were seized. Kanakaiah is likely to be produced in court on 08.04.2026. The ACB officials, who have registered a case on this incident, are continuing their full investigation.
