Cab driver arrested for attempt of murder
RSD- Bowenpally news: The Bowenpally Police arrested Nochina Sampath Kumar, a 25-year-old cab driver from Moula-Ali, for attempting to murder two patrolling constables by intentionally ramming his car into their police vehicle on 05-07-2025. While on Blue Colt duty around 10:00 PM, constables K. Chanti and L. Praveen approached a suspicious parked taxi on Dairy Farm Road. The accused, caught engaging in indecent activity with a woman, deliberately drove into their bike to evade police, resulting in grievous injuries to Constable Praveen’s leg and minor injuries to Constable Chanti. The accused fled the scene. Using CCTV footage and technical analysis, police identified and apprehended the accused on 08-07-2025 near Dilsukhnagar Metro Station, seizing the crime vehicle (TS07UM7908) and a OnePlus smartphone. The car was being operated under a ride-sharing platform and taken on lease from a fleet operator. The accused acted violently to avoid detection, fearing legal and social consequences.
