Cases will be filed if minors are caught driving

RSD- Sircilla news: Special drives were conducted across the district to seize 285 vehicles, and counseling was conducted for the minors and their parents within the limits of the Sircilla Town Police Station, warning that legal action will be taken if minors are caught driving frequently. In the previous special drive, about 300 vehicles caught driving by minors were seized, counseling was conducted in the presence of their parents, and the vehicles were released after imposing fines under these provisions. On this occasion, the SP said that since an unexplained death is a road accident, minors who do not know the traffic rules and road rules should not be encouraged to drive vehicles, as they are knowingly causing accidents with their reckless driving. He reminded that a case was registered against the parents of the minor who died due to driving by a minor under the limits of Rudrangi Police Station. He said that there are laws that provide for strict punishment of 10 years if a minor drives, drinks alcohol and causes accidents and endangers the lives of others. He asked parents and vehicle owners to take special care in giving vehicles to their children and not to give vehicles to children who have not completed 18 years. Giving vehicles to children will cause the family to suffer for the rest of their lives if something unforeseen happens, he said, adding that it is an irreparable loss for the family members and parents to separate their children through road accidents. He said that awareness programs will be organized in all schools in the district about minor driving, road rules and traffic rules through road safety education classes for students from the student stage. Sircilla DSP Chandrasekhar Reddy, CIs, SIs and staff participated in this program.
