Ganesh Utsavs should be held in a peaceful atmosphere says Government Whip

RSD- Vemulawada news: Government Whip Adi Srinivas said that the officials of the relevant departments should take steps to hold Ganesh Utsavs in a peaceful atmosphere. On 21.08.2025, Government Whip Adi Srinivas held a meeting with District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha and SP Mahesh B. Gite on the organization of Ganesh Utsavs and immersion arrangements on the occasion of Vinayaka Chavithi at the Temple Guest House. Speaking on the occasion, Government Whip Adi Srinivas said that the Ganesh Navratri celebrations will be held from August 27th to September 6th 2025 this year and appropriate arrangements should be made for this. He said that strict measures should be taken to organize the Ganesh festivals peacefully. Last year, about 300 idols were immersed through the police department with registration and 100 without registration, and this time the number of idols could increase even more. The Government Whip instructed the officials to arrange the necessary large cranes in advance to avoid any problems during the immersion. Keeping in mind the Ganesh Navratri celebrations, the Government Whip suggested that arrangements should be made so that the immersion in the temple pond is done with devotion. He said that additional arrangements should be made keeping in mind past experiences and that no untoward incidents should take place anywhere. He said that the route map for the Ganesh vehicles for the immersion should be finalized. He said that DJs and crackers should not be allowed during the Vinayaka Navratri celebrations and immersion. He said that arrangements like lighting, drinking water supply, barricades should be made at the immersion point. He said that the necessary amount of swimming pools should be made available at the immersion point. The government whip suggested that CCTV cameras should be installed at each point to ensure that the Vinayaka immersion takes place peacefully, and a control room should be set up with the officers of all departments to specifically monitor the immersion. District Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha said that the idols in the Ganesh mandals should be provided with GPS and geo-tagging, along with the details of the mandals. The Collector advised the officials to prepare a detailed plan for the Ganesh immersion, prepare the necessary route map for the immersion of the Ganesh idol, and immediately undertake and complete the necessary road repair work on the immersion route. He said that a public address system should be set up at the Ganesh immersion points, drinking water supply, lighting, barricades, medical camp, cultural programs, mobile toilets should be provided. He said that liquor shops and belt shops should be closed on the day of immersion. The Collector suggested that the vehicles used for Ganesh immersion should be certified in advance by the transport department officer, necessary security should be arranged at each Ganesh mandapam, and a tight security system should be arranged so that the Ganesh immersion takes place smoothly. He said that a token should be provided to each Ganesh idol and their movement should be monitored during the immersion. He said that garbage and wild plants at the immersion points should be removed. The Collector said that everyone should cooperate with all communities, regardless of caste and religion, and ensure that the Ganesh festivals are held in a festive atmosphere. SP Mahesh B Gite said that the route map for moving each Ganpati idol from the mandapam to the immersion point during the immersion should be finalized. He said that wines will not be sold anywhere during the immersion and special supervision will be taken for belt shops. The SP said that a high-level security will be arranged to ensure that the Ganesha immersion takes place smoothly. The SP advised the concerned officials to inspect the routes for the movement of large idols in advance and take steps to ensure that no cable wires or internet wires or electrical wires obstruct the route. He said that CCTV cameras should be installed at the immersion point.
