Inter-state cyber criminal arrested for committing APK link cyber crimes

RSD- Hyderabad news: Mohammad Kaleem Pasha, s/o Babujani, resident of Venkatramireddy Nagar, Chintal, Hyderabad, and his acquaintance Rashid, both of whom were addicted to bad habits, decided to cheat people online and earn money easily with the intention of earning more money in a short time. In the month of February 2025, Rashid approached a person named Ankit, who was an acquaintance of Rashid. When the two went to Kolkata together and asked how to cheat people online, Ankit told them that they would apply for RBL credit cards and after receiving the cards, they would send the names, phone numbers, credit card numbers and PAN card numbers to both of them via WhatsApp. With these, the two would talk to the people who applied for the credit cards like a credit card customer care and convince them to commit fraud. As part of this, they would talk to the victims for credit card activation and send them the Apk/links sent by Ankit. If they clicked on or installed such Apk/links, in the next few moments after their phones were hacked, they would make purchases through e-commerce and spend all the money on their credit cards. As Ankit said, Mohammed Kalim used to send money to both of them through RAPIDO courier at the rate of Rs. 2,500/- for every lakh received. Ankit used to communicate with them only through WhatsApp, sending credit card details, sending mobile phones and SIM cards to unknown people through RAPIDO courier for them to use every 10 days, and taking back the old mobile phones and SIM cards through RAPIDO courier. In this process, a person named Suresh Kumar from Siricilla town was cheated by them and filed a complaint at the Siricilla town police station. Siricilla town police formed a team under the leadership of District Cyber Team RSI Junaid, Gangareddy, Kittu, Mahesh and arrested the remaining two accused in Hyderabad on 19.07.2025 based on technology. They said that the remaining two accused will be arrested soon. SP Specially congratulated Cyber RSI Junaid, Cyber Team Gangareddy, Kittu, Mahesh, Srikanth Reddy and Srinivas for their efforts in arresting the inter-state cybercriminal.
