RSD-Komuravelli news: The fair of the golden Komuravelli Mallikarjuna Swamy will begin from January 19, 2025. However, it will start from the first Sunday after Sankranti and end on the Sunday before Ugadi. This fair will be held for about two and a half months. Special programs will continue every Sunday. Devotees will go to the temple with bonalu and offer offerings to the Swamy and Ammavar. Now, they will perform the Kalyanam by performing the Patnam and fulfill their vows. In addition to these four main events, two other ceremonies will also be held. However, thousands of devotees from the Telugu states as well as Maharashtra and Karnataka states will flock to this fair. Of these, the devotees from Hyderabad will be the largest. That is why the first Sunday is called Patnam week. Also, on Monday, the Patnam and Agnigundam programs will be held at their own expense at the Kalyana Vedika near Thotabavi. Officials estimate that 1.5 lakh to 2 lakh people will come to the temple for this ceremony. Now, the Agnigundam program to be held at the end of the festival will be very spectacular. This time it will be held on the night of March 23rd 2025. Devotees will keep vigil all night and set up fire pits near the Kalyana Vedika. Temple EO Kuruma Ramanjaneyulu revealed that more than 25 lakh devotees will come to have darshan of the Lord during this 64-day festival. Meanwhile, the main event of these festivals is the Pedda Patnam. This time it is going to be held on February 2nd 2025 at midnight. This program, organized by the temple to commemorate the Mahashivratri festival, will be a special attraction for the festival. Under the leadership of the Chowdhurys and Oggupujars, a 50-yard area of Panchrangula Churna will be laid. This will take more than 3 hours. The ceremonial idol of Mallana Swamy will be brought and installed in the patnam and special prayers will be performed. First, the priests will cross the Peddapatnam, and then the devotees will cross and have darshan of the Swamy in the sanctum.
