One year imprisonment for extra dowry harassment case
RSD- Vemulawada news: According to the details, Mahender, a resident of Tadagonda village in Boinipalli mandal, got married to Mamatha, a resident of Pittalapalli village in Gangadhara mandal, in 2011. After a few years, he harassed his wife to bring extra dowry. Unable to bear the harassment, in 2017, a complaint was filed against Mahender at Boinipalli police station, and the police registered a case against Mahender and filed a charge sheet in the court. Public Prosecutor Vikrant argued on behalf of the prosecution, while CMS SI Ravinder Naidu, Constable Madhusudhan, and Rajendra Prasad presented the witnesses in court, Vemulawada Rural CI said. After examining the background of the case, the judge of Vemulawada First Class Judge Jyothirmayi found Mahender guilty and sentenced him to on eyear imprisonment and a fine of Rs. 2000/-.
