Petition to the PM via email seeking exemption from TET for in-service teachers

RSD- Sircilla news: As per the call of the School Teachers Federation of India (STFI) to exempt in-service teachers from the Teacher Eligibility Test, TS UTF (Telangana State United Teachers Federation) Rajanna Siricilla District Committee sent a petition to the Prime Minister via email. On this occasion, State Secretary Golkonda Sridhar said that it is unfair that senior teachers should pass TET and expressed their concern that even after two months of the Supreme Court verdict, the Central Government has not taken any steps to review the verdict and has not even given any assurance that the jobs of senior teachers will be protected. He said that since the NCTE notification stated that teachers appointed before August 23rd 2010 did not need TET, there was no thought of writing TET for the last 15 years, and it was ridiculous to ask those who were selected as teachers after writing the DSC exam to write the eligibility test now. He demanded that the central government respond immediately and make a law in the winter session of Parliament exempting senior teachers from TET, and that all members of Parliament should do their best for this. Former TSUTF district president Pakala Shankar Goud, current district president Parkala Ravinder, district general secretary Jangiti Raju, district vice president Ambati Ramesh, and district secretaries Elagonda Ravi Pamula Swamy participated in this program.
