Shock to the Congress in Khammam district
RSD-Khammam news: Tellam Venkatarao, former MP and chief follower of Congress leader Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, shocked the Congress party. He continued in the Congress party while walking with Ponguleti and he then left the Congress and joined the BRS due to internal differences.
In the presence of Ministers KTR, Puvwada Ajay Kumar, BRS Bhadradri District President and Rega Kantarao, he draped the rose scarf with his followers in Hyderabad. Many people from Bhadrachalam, Pinapaka, Illandu, Ashwaraopeta and Kothagudem constituencies also joined BRS.
Speaking on this occasion, Minister KTR commented that if you believe in Congress, it is like swimming with the tail of a dog. He said that it did not take Tellam Venkatarao more than a month to learn the nature of the Congress.
Tellam Venkatarao contested from Mahabubabad Lok Sabha constituency in 2014 on behalf of YSR Congress Party and lost.He later joined BRS. Since then BRS Bhadrachalam has been in charge of Bhadrachalam Constituency. In the 2018 general elections, he contested as an MLA candidate on behalf of BRS and lost. He continued his political journey with Ponguleti for a few months.
It is known that since joining the Congress party, he has been troubled by the behavior of the leaders there. It is reported that Ponguleti has not given any clarity on his political future, he has not been given a place in the affairs of the party, and he is following the party’s ostracism.
The fact that Ponguleti’s chief follower left the party within a few days of joining the Congress is currently a topic of discussion in the joint Khammam district. Political observers believe that Tellam Venkatrao leaving the Congress party is a scandal for Ponguleti.
