Task Force Police seize 60 quintals of illegally stored PDS rice

RSD-Ellaiahpert news:  On the orders of District SP Mahesh B. Gite IPS, on 03.07.2025, on the information that a person named Binaveni Devaiah s/o Ellaiah, age 70, was collecting ration rice at low prices in various areas and storing it to sell at higher prices, the District Task Force personnel and Ellaiahpet police jointly conducted a surprise raid and seized 60 quintals and handed over the 60 quintals of ration rice that Devaiah had illegally stored to the Ellaiahpet police station for further action. Speaking on the occasion, the Task Force Inspector said that they are conducting wide-scale raids by conducting special drives and keeping a constant vigil on those who are illegally transporting the ration rice provided by the state government to the poor and diverting it from reaching the poor people. Task Force personnel Rajesh, Tirupati, Srinivas and Shiva participated in these raids.
